Mobile Quality Engineering Lead

We are looking for a Mobile Quality Engineering Lead to manage our mobile teams. 

The successful candidate will join the team during a transitional period, where the need for excellent technology and digital customer experience is paramount. 

You’ll be supported by a friendly and inclusive team who have the autonomy to define and improve processes and care deeply about developing each other's capabilities.

How you will contribute 

• You will be responsible for managing and maintaining all quality & test activities

• You will work closely with the Head of Quality Engineering to ensure the Mobile Quality Engineering Strategy is followed

• You will collaborate with stakeholders to define functional and non-functional test requirements
• You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all agreed testing phases are reliable and effective
• You will coach teams in best practices & principles

• You will apply and uphold industry standards for testing tools and techniques and advise on their application
• You will help to define ways to always improve testing and quality processes that will continue to embrace our shift left approach

• You will work closely with the central automation experience team to align on any new tools you’d like to adopt
• You will help to define ways of improving testing and quality processes
• You will help coordinate test execution and test reporting across teams to all stakeholders
• You will line manage all mobile quality engineers

The ideal skills for this role include

• You have significant experience in using native mobile test frameworks
• You have significant programming experience with native mobile test frameworks
• You have significant experience in maintaining automation frameworks for all types of testing
• You have significant experience in integrating automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery platforms
• You have significant experience in using software development platforms like Git
• You have significant experience in gathering and reporting quality and test metrics
• You have significant experience in coaching/mentoring colleagues to support development of automation practices
• You have a solid understanding of the test pyramid
• You are a solid communicator
