CQ Roll Call is seeking a data analyst that possesses an entrepreneurial nature and can help drive fundamental changes in the way data is currently used at CQ Roll Call. Our mission is a small, nimble “Data Shop” that will address current data analysis and reporting needs while pursuing ways to use data in a more proactive, forward-looking manner.




In the role you would be expected to:

  • Support data cleanup and data upload activities
  • Identify and resolve reporting and data integrity issues 
  • Gather and consolidate large datasets from different sources and fields 
  • Publish daily, weekly, and monthly reports 
  • Assure data quality by performing quality assurance steps throughout processing 
  • Work both independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment with tight production deadlines 
  • Liaise with wide range of groups and providing deeper analysis to requestor’s seemingly simple data request
  • Utilize best practice frameworks and processes to ad-hoc analyses  
  • Lead workshops on data structure, analysis, tools, and other technical concepts 
  • Create holistic dashboards by pulling data from different data sources  
  • Support and develop business inputs for customer segmentation, predictive modeling  
  • Deliver actionable business intelligence analysis


Experience, skills and professional attributes:

To succeed in the role you must have:


  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline, i.e., Engineering, Finance, Information Technology, Marketing (quantitative focus), Mathematics, Statistics,
  • 1- 5 years of work experience involving quantitative analytic methods in a business environment
  • Experience or coursework related to driving new and existing business based on data, developing analytic programs, consolidating and manipulating large datasets, and using advanced analytical features of MS Access and Excel


To succeed in the role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, Macros, Lookups, Conditional formulas, Analysis Toolpak) and MS Access 
  • SQL or other querying skills to query relevant data warehouses and customize reports 
  • Fundamental understanding of statistical analysis (e.g., hypothesis/significance testing, data mining, modeling) with statistical software packages 
  • Familiarity with data management, logical database design, data warehousing  
  • Experience working with business process diagramming tools 
  • Experience working with business intelligence/reporting tools  
  • Experience implementing and optimizing Web analytics technologies
