The Economist Media Businesses Division provides clients with marketing solutions going beyond traditional advertising services to create integrated solutions involving advertising, sponsorship and content marketing services. Clients of the Media Businesses Division receive clever, insightful ideas that solve their marketing problems, and which are delivered flawlessly from one world-class team.
Currently, we are seeking an Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support and assistance to the President of our Media businesses, as well as the Heads of our Events and Content Marketing Solutions businesses.
In this role you would be expected to:
Execute complete confidential administrative support with effective and proactive diary management
Manage the Inbox, taking the initiative to action work on behalf of the President wherever possible; prioritising items that require urgent action
Organize comprehensive business travel arrangements with a realistic detailed agenda and appropriate papers. This often includes a complicated and busy itinerary
Monitor overheads budget maintaining records of invoices and expenses working with Finance to plan the travel budget for the new FY.
Process expenses and manage corporate credit cards
Manage relationships with other PAs across the business with back up cover where necessary as well work closely with other PA's to coordinate Board meetings
Proofread any correspondence produced by the President to ensure it is grammatically correct and follows the Economist Group branding guidelines
Act as ambassador for the office of the President to both internal staff and external stakeholders
Work with the President’s peers and immediate reports based in NY, London and offices around the globe: providing support on various issues as appropriate, notably offering secretarial support when senior members visit NY
Act as a liaison between Group Media businesses and other departments across The Economist Group
Be the point of contact for booking Group Media businesses meetings
Manage matching gift program, investment management meeting schedule and other Media business events as well as other miscellaneous projects
Experience, skills and professional attributes:
To succeed in this role you must have:
Extensive previous executive level administrative support experience
Strong computer skills, including Power Point, Word and Excel
Fluency in English, other languages would be helpful
