The Business Development Executive's responsibility is to work closely with the Business Development Manager and the EIU Healthcare team on tenders, procurement and business development activities listed below. The post-holder also has functional relationships with the Bazian Information and Health Research teamsWe are looking for a 12 month maternity cover.

Accountabilities

In the role you would be expected to:

  • Conduct first sift for searches for tender opportunities
  • Manage specific tender applications processes, as allocated by line manager. including tender screening, writing, submission and post-submission follow-ups
  • Manage projects and provide content support for specific new business proposals, as directed by line manager
  • Support in contract negotiation for new and existing projects at Bazian as directed by line manager

To succeed in the role you must have: 

  • Proven ability at project management and client management
  • Proven ability at stakeholder and client management
  • Experience in providing high quality documentation throughout the project life cycle
  • Proven ability at managing risk around project timelines with clear and appropriate communication to internal and external stakeholders
  • Degree in business or any other relevant field
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written business communication skills e.g. clear and concise emails, tender documents and presentations
  • Excellent experience in account management and client liaison
  • Ability to develop business proposals in the healthcare market
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, working with clients, clinicians
  • Ability to manage risk around project timelines
  • Strong command over English Language –written and spoken

To succeed in the role you will be able to demonstrate

  • Familiarity with preparing public sector tenders
  • Functional understanding of the NHS, the healthcare industry and evidence-based healthcare would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills to distil complex information or documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and project management tools
  • A self-motivator - organised and conscientious with an eye for detail
  • A goal-driven and result-oriented person 
  • Ability to work and meet tight deadlines with excellent time-management and organisational skills
  • Independence and resourcefulness but committment to being part of a dynamic team
