As the research and analysis division of the Economist Group, The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) helps leaders prepare for opportunity, empowering them to act with confidence when making strategic decisions. The EIU is the global standard in providing quality, actionable intelligence to the public and private sector, assessing issues that impact the marketplace for over two hundred countries. 

 

The Business Development Support's responsibility is to work closely with the Business Development Manager and the EIU Healthcare team on tenders, procurement and business development activities listed below. The post-holder also has functional relationships with the EIU Healthcare teams

 

We are looking for a 12 month maternity cover.

Accountabilities

In the role you would be expected to:

  • Manage specific tender applications processes, as allocated by line manager. including tender screening, writing, submission and post-submission follow-ups
  • Manage projects and provide content support for specific new business proposals, as directed by line manager
  • Support in contract negotiation for new and existing projects at Bazian as directed by line manager

Experience, skills and professional attributes

To succeed in the role you must have: 

  • Experience in providing high quality documentation throughout the project life cycle
  • Proven ability at managing risk around project timelines with clear and appropriate communication to internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written business communication skills e.g. clear and concise emails, tender documents and presentations
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, working with clients, clinicians
  • Strong command over English Language –written and spoken

To succeed in the role you will be able to demonstrate

  • Ability to understand complex documents and technical information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and project management tools
  • A self-motivator - organised and conscientious with an eye for detail
