    As our business develops and expands its multiplatform approach to advertising, it is vital that we have in-house technical and product specialism on our existing and emerging digital capabilities. The Digital Delivery Team has been created as a digital centre of excellence within the business, to consolidate expertise, product development, vendor management and production within the same team. The Digital Producer is a key part of the team, focused on the end to end management of digital deliverables.

     

    The Web Developer  is responsible for the production of digital deliverables from start to finish including website projects, web and in app advertising units, and other interactive formats and components for integrated programs.

     

    The role reports to the Global Head of Digital Delivery in London.

     

    The role will cover the EMEA region, but will require collaboration with the Client Solutions team globally, particularly London and New York. As such, while the role is based on local hours (9:00-5:30pm in Gurgaon) some flexibility will be required to cover day-to-day contact with London and occasional meetings with New York.

    Accountabilities

    How you will contribute:

     

    • Content driven website development, deployment and maintenance
    • Create and maintain CI processes and tools working with devops and information security teams
    • Manage and maintain code base effectively
    • Contribute to technical documentation of output
    • Creation of custom templates and style sheets
    • Development and build of digital deliverables including full websites, CMSs, landing pages, emails, ad units and other deliverables as needed.
    • Develop, test and troubleshoot across multiple browsers, platforms and devices
    • Assist with user acceptance testing
    • Gain a deep knowledge of the full roster of digital delivery capabilities and partners and act as a source of knowledge on new and existing capabilities
    • Access licensed platforms or in house products and build deliverables directly by populating content, preparing assets and configuring settings
    • Collaborate with analytics, infrastructure, information security and other group teams to ensure successful delivery and ongoing maintenance of digital assets
    • Own the resolution of bugs, issues and other technical fixes to web estate
    • Contribute to the tracking and processing of digital delivery costs, training and information content (digital delivery website, training presentations, process documentation)
    • Participate in product and platform evaluations, prototyping and onboarding
    • Provide appropriate costing and scoping for the digital deliverables of integrated programmes
    • Contribute relevant, interesting ideas in Digital Delivery team meetings and brainstorms

    Experience, skills and professional attributes

    The ideal skills for this role are:

     

    • Strong JavaScript skills (particularly around React JS, Gatsby JS, or other frameworks). Comfort with JAMstack architecture beneficial. 
    • Experience in creating compelling web animations and interactive components with CSS and JS (Lottie, PixiJS, Greensock, D3 JS, three JS etc)
    • CMS experience (Contentful, Netlify, WordPress, Django, Craft,  or others). Headless CMS experience particularly beneficial. 
    • Experience with Git workflow and CI processes and tools (Codeship, Jenkins, or others) 
    • Solid understanding of Google Analytics and other web tracking tools
    • Understanding of usability and accessibility principles
    • Understanding of SEO best practices
    • An interest in, and understanding of current trends in design, tech & media
    • Strong ability to multitask, work independently and move between distinct projects
    • Proficient in the tools and techniques supporting the maintenance and security of a sizeable web estate
    • Understanding of core principles of deployment, hosting and code management (Github and / or other tools)
    • Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Word & Google Documents
    • Being able to meet deadlines and prioritise work effectively
    • Research-literate
    • Very detail-oriented
