    We are currently looking for an experienced Senior/Principal, Strategic Accounts with an entrepreneurial mind-set and strong leadership qualities to join us in a senior leadership role within our MedTech & Life Sciences Practice.  As a Senior/Principal, Strategic Accounts, you are a critical member of the leadership team, leading and managing strategic projects and engagements with key clients and driving the growth of the practice among key accounts. The right individual will be put on a leadership track with an aggressive career progression plan, if proven capable. This position will be based in New York.

    Accountabilities

    How you will contribute:   

    • Key accounts management:
      • Serve as strategic advisor and client partner on key accounts to expand relationships in ways that grow our base of business with these clients, and turn these relationships into mutually beneficial long term relationships
      • Manage key projects and engage with clients as the trusted confidant to the client
      • Solicit feedback and continuously improve on clients’ experience and expectations of EIU Healthcare
      • Support project teams led by healthcare associates and analysts on multi-country project engagements to ensure that deliverables are of high quality with meaningful insights and recommendations for the clients.
    • Business development:
      • Develop winning proposals based on a strong understanding of research consulting methodologies and work with the clients’ requirements to solve for their challenges and address their needs
      • Be able to present EIU Healthcare’s key capabilities and value propositions to senior client stakeholders
      • Work with and support Engagement Executives within the MedTech & Life Science Practice as they develop proposals by advising on methodologies and models
      • Work with Business Development managers who are focused on other EIU Healthcare business areas (i.e., data solutions, health policy & clinical evidence), to identify and address commercial consulting opportunities
    • Business support:
      • Support the implementation of the MedTech & Life Sciences business strategy, and enable the deepening of the company’s service offerings including driving the growth of business consulting capabilities
      • Provide mentorship and guidance to middle managers/junior staff, to elevate their skills and capabilities and develop their careers.

    Experience, skills and professional attributes

    The ideal skills for the role are: 

    • 10+ years of relevant experience in healthcare business consulting, preferably in the Healthcare MedTech industry
    • Proven track record in project management, client handling and strategic advisory, preferably in the healthcare sector or in business/management consulting
    • Experience in market research & intelligence gathering, insights analysis and strategic recommendation development
    • A track record of i) managing key account and client relationships; ii) growing the base of business among key accounts; iii) business development
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably Science major, with an MBA
    • Exceptional command of written and spoken English
    • A self-starter mindset, high business acumen with versatility to think inside and outside of the box
    • Strong leadership qualities, people management experience with record of nurturing middle managers and junior staff
    • Enjoys a fast paced and dynamic structure
    • Highly analytical, organized and meticulous process skills
