    As our business develops and expands its multiplatform approach to advertising, it is vital that we have in-house technical and product specialism on our existing and emerging digital capabilities. The Digital Delivery Team has been created as a digital centre of excellence within the business, to consolidate technical expertise, product development, vendor management and production within the same team. The Digital Delivery Manager is a key part of the team, focused on the end to end management of digital deliverables.

     

    The Digital Delivery Manager (EMEA)  is responsible for the production of digital deliverables from start to finish including website projects, web and in app advertising units, and other interactive formats and components for integrated programs.

     

    The role reports to the Global Head of Digital Delivery in London, and partners closely with global teams across the Economist Group.

     

    The role will cover the NA region and will require collaboration with the Client Solutions team globally. As such, the role will require working hours to match those of the North America team.

    Working hours : 2 Days a week - 11:30 AM to 8 PM (IST) | Other 3 days a week (Work from home) - 6:30 PM to 3 AM (IST)

    Accountabilities

    How you will contribute:

     

    • Work with digital development teams (internal and agency) and wider internal team (design, strategy, editorial, sales, analytics) to manage the production of website and ad builds from start to finish. Lead projects where relevant and also provide support on projects being led by other team members. 
    • Gain a deep knowledge of the full roster of digital delivery capabilities and partners and act as a source of knowledge on new and existing capabilities
    • Where appropriate, access licensed platforms or in house products and build deliverables directly by populating content, preparing assets and configuring settings accordingly
    • Own selected platform and agency partner relationships, driving successful adoption and managing health of relationship
    • Collaborate with analytics, infrastructure, information security and other group teams to ensure successful delivery and ongoing maintenance of digital assets 
    • Own the identification and resolution of bugs, issues and other technical fixes such as page speed and performance on projects 
    • Contribute to the tracking and processing of digital delivery costs, training and information content (digital delivery website, training presentations, process documentation)
    • Participate in product and platform evaluations, prototyping and onboarding
    • Provide appropriate costing for the digital deliverables of integrated programmes
    • Contribute relevant, interesting ideas in Digital Delivery team meetings and brainstorms
    • Participate in, and adhere to all Digital Delivery Team processes and tools including relating to budget management, information security, privacy, performance and QA. 
    • Reprioritize work as needed based on deadlines
    • Manage time while working on multiple projects
    • Provide accurate and timely estimated costs and scope for projects pre-sale
    • Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders including sales, digital strategy, editorial, programme management and design

    Experience, skills and professional attributes

    The ideal skills for this role are:

     

    • Project management, with exceptional stakeholder management skills
    • Content management 
    • Skills in one or several of these: web development, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ad build and trafficking, QA, analytics and insight, data visualisation
    • Skills in one or several of these: copywriting, graphic design & illustration, information design, animation, video editing, social media campaign management
    • Proficiency and comfort with online tools for content such as: WordPress or other CMS’. Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Ad Builders, Web Page Builders, data visualisation tools
    • An interest in, and understanding of current trends in web design, storytelling, tech & media
    • An understanding of the global media marketplace and competitor landscape, particularly in EMEA and NA
    • Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Word & Google Documents
    • Strong ability to multi-task and move between distinct projects
    • Being able to meet deadlines and prioritise work effectively
    • Research-literate
    • Detail-oriented, solution-oriented, and be able to think on your feet
