    The Marketing Executive, Audience Conversion will join the Global Subscriptions team based in London. They will assist with marketing initiatives for the Paid Email and Affiliate Marketing channels globally. They will oversee the day to day operational activities of new subscriber acquisition campaigns through these channels, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of campaigns and reporting under the direction of the Marketing Manager.

    Accountabilities

    How will you contribute?

     

    They will work closely with the Marketing Manager, Audience Conversion and with media and creative agencies to:

    • Manage campaign operations 
    • Ensure monthly subscription targets are achieved in every region
    • Ensure correct landing pages, creative, pricing and tracking links are used
    • Accurately account for marketing spend
    • Ensure all marketing efforts are aligned with brand guidelines
    • Working closely with media agencies and platforms
    • Ensuring fraud is minimised across the Affiliate channel
    • Ensure the Life-Time-Value of marketing activities is positive and driving ROI for the business
    • Assist with agency management:
    • Outline the agency and The Economist’s weekly tasks
    • Ensure activity is implemented on time and to budget
    • Ensure the agency delivers timely campaign reports and A/B tests set ups
    • Organise quarterly business reviews with the agency
    • Perform regular health checks (eg. URL redirections, ad copy, internal reporting)
    • Set up new price, premia offers and other tests.
    • Source translations and creatives for landing pages and/or for the agency’s marketing creative.
    • Process invoices and advise on spend adjustments.

    Experience, skills and professional attributes

    The ideal skills for this role are:

    • A team player with strong analytical and problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail
    • Ability to manage priorities and to meet deadlines
    • Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills with fluent English writing and speaking 
    • Prior experience of executing marketing campaigns for subscription based clients.
    • Experience in managing affiliate and/or email marketing campaigns.
    • Experience with affiliate tracking platforms e.g. Affiliate Window, Commission Junction, Partnerize.
    • Strong agency management skills (from briefing to day-to-day management) are preferable.
    • Experience of multi-region campaign planning, analysis and reporting.
    • Advanced Excel, Power Point and Google sheets/docs knowledge.
    • Basic Photoshop knowledge (preferable).
    • Experience with analytics, tracking and attribution technologies (GA, Visual IQ) (preferable).
    • Experience with Salesforce platform and email deployment (preferable).
