    In this role you will provide support to Gurgaon and London based production teams and assist Production Manager, India as and when needed. You will prepare charts, graphics and InDesign based layouts in a variety of formats for EIU Subscription reports as well as custom projects and also assist in the styling and processing of reports in MsWord, for print and for publishing to our website through DMS.

    Accountabilities

    How you will contribute:

     

    • Work with India based Standard-Graphics team to prepare charts for EIU subscription products, graphics, Infographics and InDesign layouts for EIU whitepapers and other custom projects
    • Go to the relevant source file and extract the data required upon receipt of a detailed request from analysts, use the data obtained above, or use data submitted by analysts to prepare charts following EIU house style guidelines, that meet the EIU’s layout standards, in a variety of formats (EPS, GIF, PNG, SVG, JPEG, PDF)
    • Check the text, tables and style of our subscription reports which are prepared in MsWord format and ensure that it meets the checklist requirements
    • Archive the reports and prepare electronic files (AMT and PDF) of MsWord file and upload to the Content Management System via FTP, check the file and process for publishing
    • Style of text and tables in MsWord reports
    • Support graphics and processing teams for all the responsibilities mentioned above
    • Support other members of the team when they need it

    Experience, skills and professional attributes

    The ideal skills for this role are:

     

    • A good level of general education
    • A minimum of one year of working in a similar role/online publishing
    • Previous experience of using content management systems
    • A strong ability to multi-task and move between distinct projects
    • A good understanding of the importance of brand guidelines and how to work within them
    • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and MsOffice (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
    • Fluency in English, self-motivated and a good team player.
    • Enthusiasm, flexibility and an eagerness to learn.
    • A portfolio showcasing latest work (Infographics, InDesign layouts and other Creatives)
    • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills and an excellent eye for detail
    • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and staff at all levels
    • The ability to perform well, work effectively, stay calm and reliable under pressure
