The Economist is seeking an experienced insight professional to join our Insight & Data Science Team as a Lead Insight Analyst. Our Insight & Data Science Team is a central source of data skills working across all parts of the business. As part of this team you will be taking a highly visible role in the use of data from our digital products for decision-making.
You will take on a leadership role in the team, mentoring and allocating work to junior analysts. You will work with product managers, business stakeholders and editors to understand their processes and the challenges they face. You will get to know our raw analytics data inside out and find opportunities to use it to drive change. As an equal partner in strategic discussions you will be making recommendations to the business and influencing the future direction of our digital products and customer experience.
We are looking for candidates with significant prior experience of web and/or mobile analytics data and the use of insight to drive business decisions. Experience using SQL and Python to analyse large datasets would be advantageous. Experience working in an online retail or digital subscription business would also be advantageous but not essential.
