    EuroFinance, an Economist Group business, is the leading global provider of conferences, training and research in the treasury, cash management and risk space. We provide a platform for treasurers and CFOs to exchange strategies and best practices - either face to face or on-line - and meet with the key financial institutions and providers.

    Currently, we are seeking a Head of Conference Production & Content to lead the producer and programming team and manage the development and delivery (content, programmes and speaker recruitment) of EuroFinance and Commercial Payments International  events.

    You will be responsible for delivering engaging, customer-centric content across multiple platforms, driving innovation in event formats and ensuring all event programmes and speaker faculties are of a world-class standard. In addition to our standard events, you will have overall responsibility for the programme and speaker faculty of our flagship event – The International.

    The International is a large-scale event with over 2000 delegates, 100+ sponsors & exhibitors, 10+ streams and over 200 speakers. In addition to managing the programme and speaker recruitment, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation for what is the leading event for treasurers globally.

    This leadership role is a core member of the EuroFinance Management Committee and reports into the Managing Director of EuroFinance & CPI and manages a team that includes - Head of Programming, Conference Producers, our Content and Research Team and Freelancers.


    How you will contribute:

    • Establish processes to streamline content creation from idea generation to market delivery
    • Develop the Conference Production and Speaker recruitment strategy - including team structure and roles & responsibilities
    • Lead the development of forward thinking and dynamic content to deliver EuroFinance and CPI events ensuring agreed financial and qualitative targets are met.
    • Manage a team of conference producers, programmers and the Head of Programming.
    • Manage freelancers ensuring editorial quality of all submitted content. 
    • Work with the sales and marketing to ensure our conferences meet the requirements of both our sponsors (banks, technology providers and other vendors) and delegates (treasury, cash management and other senior finance professionals).
    • Analyse and identify key industry trends to deliver engaging, customer-centric content across multiple platforms
    • Manage and provide support to the Head of Programming/Speaker recruitment who has responsibility for speaker recruitment of our core events.
    • Develop effective relationships with financial services professionals to raise both your profile and that of EuroFinance within the treasury community.
    • Collaborate with other departments across the wider Group - including the Production and Programming teams at The Economist Events.
    • Work with other departments within the business (operations, sales, marketing) to enhance the participant experience at events, e.g. digital offerings, new agenda formats etc.
    • Play an active role alongside our editorial team in building strong content and custom solutions offerings to our clients.

    Experience, skills and professional attributes

    The ideal skills for this role are:


    • Management experience in content/programme development for large scale events and a background in finance
    • Demonstrable track record of writing and developing content and event programmes to deadline and delivery to budget and quality standards
    • Demonstrable ability to develop effective relationships with senior industry professionals
    • A commercial acumen with excellent client facing and team building and leadership experience
    • Excellent writing, editing and the ability to chair debates and discussions – both live and virtual
    • In-depth knowledge of the financial world - knowledge of treasury and cash management a plus
    • Ability to lead in a collaborative environment across business units, regions and cultures
    • Ability to multi-task, have high work rate and be able to deliver on own projects whilst managing concurrent activities
