    Currently we are seeking an Ad Operations Specialist, who will be responsible for the day-to-day technical ad support across all Economist Group digital businesses. This includes troubleshooting ads (Creatives), deep dives into 3rd party discrepancies, implementing new advertising solutions and products, and troubleshooting and maintaining our consent management platform. You will also have the opportunity to support the Global Digital Revenue Operations team on bespoke projects and day-to-day operational tasks.


    How will you contribute?


    Technical Support

    • Identify potential errors, and troubleshoot as necessary
    • Provide technical support, within scope, to all digital businesses
    • Provide technical support to the business development team
    • Provide technical support to the ad operations team on projects
    • Provide technical support on implementation and testing of custom ad units

    Creative QA and 3rd Party Discrepancy

    • Test new 3rd party vendors
    • Troubleshoot ads (Creatives) and ad tech when they don't work as expected; act as higher level of technical escalation
    • Deep dive into discrepancies - viewability, 3rd party delivery, ad blocking, invalid traffic
    • Provide day-to-day QA support


    Projects/Site Development

    • Updating and maintaining latest ad specs
    • Running, maintain, and providing weekly updates on all ad operations projects
    • Ensure new ad solutions products are setup and working correctly
    • Work closely with the ad solutions product manager
    • Provide technical guidance, as it relates to digital advertising, to the product team; including front end engineers
    • Work with the data privacy team on troubleshooting and maintaining our Consent Management Platform

    Experience, skills and professional attributes

    The desirable skills for this role include:

    • Proven Ad Operations experience within the media industry is ideal
    • Trafficking using Google Ad Manager
    • Experience working with international or remote teams
    • Experience working with cross regional sales teams
    • Proven experience working with cross-functional or product teams
    • Experience working with web development teams is ideal
    • A proven understanding of trafficking, ad tags, tracking pixels etc.
    • Knowledge of Consent Management Platforms
    • Comprehensive understanding of online advertising

    Technical skills

    • Expert knowledge of GAM
    • Jira and Slack
    • Microsoft Excel (Pivots and Formulas)
    • Intermediate/Advanced HTML/CSS and JavaScript highly desired
    • Developer/Debugging tools
