    Currently, we are seeking a Tax accountant to join our US corporate tax department. The tax department is responsible for all tax related matters in the Americas, including income tax, sales & use tax, property tax, tax audits, transfer pricing, tax compliance and policy implementation.  This role will interface with individuals across all business units and departments and have visibility to all levels of senior management.  



    How you will contribute :

    • Prepare federal pro-forma and consolidated income tax returns
    • Prepare state income and franchise tax returns
    • Prepare schedules and related work papers to support the federal and state income tax returns including M-1 tax adjustments and State allocation and apportionment schedules
    • Track tax attributes by legal entity while preparing quarterly estimated tax calculations and income tax extensions
    • Prepare state annual reports, business licenses and registrations
    • Maintain a tax notice log
    • Assist with the preparation of effective tax rate calculations as well as assist with the preparation of deferred tax calculations
    • Assist with the analysis of income tax reserves
    • Gather requested data in response to information document requests (IDRs) issued by federal, state and local taxing authorities
    • Prepare state and provincial (Canadian) sales and use tax returns for multiple legal entities
    • Prepare all related schedules and work papers to support the sales and use tax returns
    • Assist the Tax Director on special projects such as transfer pricing and  foreign tax credits
    • Stay current on new legislation that will offer the opportunity to take advantage of newly passed tax legislation

    Experience, skills and professional attributes

    The ideal skills for this role are:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree and a CPA is preferred 
    • 3- 5 years of relevant diversified corporate tax experience
    • A proven track record completing all required tax filings by the statutory due date         
    • A sound understanding of Corporate Taxation for both Federal and State purposes
    • Previous usage of OneSource is preferred but not required
    • Very comfortable using current technology to aid in work requirements
    • A high level of professionalism, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
    • The ability to  work independently and as part of a team
    • The ability to interfaces with all levels of senior management and a comfort level working in a highly visible role
