At the Economist Intelligence Unit’s Healthcare Division (EIU HC), we believe that actionable strategy for our client is built on the basis of market realities, where data insights and its robust analytics drive informed decisions. For that reason, we have developed a data-centric market tracker solutions called, The Gateway that aims to provide the medtech sector with credible, actionable and granular size, share and growth insights globally.


We are looking to hire a number of field leads to be based in our Singapore, Shanghai and Gurgaon offices. 


How you will contribute:

  • be the market research vendor liaison: Maintain close liaison with vendors to communicate fieldwork requirements clearly at the start of project and to ensure fieldwork timelines are strictly adhered to
  • ensure training and SOP compliance: Train vendors and inhouse field team on the proper application of field surveys and interviews and ensure that they adhere to standard operating procedures
  • oversee field project management: Maintain over-watch on project deliveries while managing vendors’ compliance and flagging up any issues to analysts if necessary
  • ensure field data quality assurance: Take ownership of each project’s quality control and logic check requirements before vendor engagement to ensure adherence during delivery
  • conduct project execution: Conduct field surveys and interviews with medical professionals either face-to-face or on the phone.

Experience, skills and professional attributes

The ideal skills for the role are:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in market research
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to speak fluent English and one of another Asian languages such as Mandarin, Thai, Japanese or Korean
  • Highly meticulous and possess exemplary organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanour
  • Efficiency at multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to be a strong problem solver and independent worker
  • Ability to think inside and outside of the box and being versatile
