The appointee will join the team as a new business and growth strategy unfolds and the need for digital customer experience and technology excellence becomes paramount in our ability to deliver this. We are about to launch our new future customer experience (FCX) platform to our B2C Economist customers and underlying business units as part of a multi-year and multi-million pound business transformation. This exciting, state of the art digital platform supports all aspects of acquisition, onboarding, in-life service, renewal/cancellation and winback customer lifecycle phases which we have designed and built to deliver amazing, end-to-end customer experiences. 

 

The Salesforce.com Business Analyst will be dedicated to maximizing efficiency and capitalizing on the full features and benefits of Salesforce.com and it’s integrated solutions, such as Zuora, Limio, Nice In Contact.  The ideal candidate will be someone with excellent technical and communication skills who will work directly with our internal stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements. The Business Analyst will be responsible for creating technical requirements and user stories that can be implemented by the Salesforce team. In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this person will promote adoption, track new releases, keep current on AppExchange solutions, will provide training and be familiar with best practices.

 

This is an exciting role which will allow the successful candidate to gain exposure to multiple Salesforce Clouds and integrated solutions, be part of an on-going digital transformation programme, be a part of a dynamic team and interact with stakeholders across different departments and levels.

Accountabilities

How will you contribute:

  • Take on the role of Scrum Master for the Platforms team.
  • Manage and prioritise a single backlog of enhancements across multiple stakeholders on our B2C and B2B platforms
  • Work with Product Owners, business stakeholders and end users to gather, understand, define and document business requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the Programme BA practice on parallel work streams and development.
  • Develop user stories and to-be process flows to support the design and development of Salesforce solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to design a solution that will meet the business requirements and fulfill user stories.
  • Complete the configuration for user stories within Salesforce, AppExchange products, or other cloud-based technologies when required and possible.
  • Collaborate with developers and test users for testing to verify that solutions will meet the business requirements.
  • Participate in key meetings including requirement sessions, system demos, user acceptance testing, and end user training.

Experience, skills and professional attributes

The ideal skills for this role are:

  • Experience using agile methodologies and the associated ceremonies is required.
  • The ability to shape and organise an agile backlog and roadmap is required, with experience of managing an end to end development lifecycle.
  • Hands on knowledge of Salesforce declarative and programmatic development, including Sales, Service & Community Cloud.
  • The ability to think about the wider Salesforce architecture, including any installed packages and integrations.
  • Ecommerce / B2C online journey exposure, possibly with Subscription management exposure, would be beneficial.
  • Proven ability leveraging analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly ramp up on new business needs, and technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with executives, business stakeholders, and developers.
  • Proven record of creating intuitive solutions to solve business problems by leveraging Salesforce.
  • Experience supporting an instance of Salesforce with 500+ users.
  • Experienced in soliciting requirements from users and organizing them in well-formatted documentation; ability to translate between business users and development teams.
  • Hands on experience using Jira, or similar work management tools and Visio or similar flow chart tools.
  • Hand ons experience using Confluence, or similar repositories.
  • Highly organized with a personal method to manage multiple competing priorities without falling behind.
