We are developing a world-class product management organisation and have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to help us distribute our content to partners. 

 

Please note that this role a 2-3 month fixed term contract.  

Organisation:

  • Temporarily reports to the CPO
  • Close working with senior functional stakeholders across a matrix structure, especially business development / partnership teams and technology team

 

Accountabilities

How you will contribute:

  • We are looking for a Product Manager who will come in on a fixed term contract (FTC) basis to help us deliver several big business development deals involving the distribution of our content to 3rd party platforms
  • This role will report to the Head of Content Products, though it could also report temporarily to the Chief Product Officer
  • We are looking for a self-starter to come in and hit the ground running, working with our business development, partnership teams as well as 3rd parties to understand the requirements, document them and then work with our technology teams to come up with a solution to deliver the content

 

Experience, skills and professional attributes

The ideal skills for this role are:

  • Previous experience working on publishing content, distribution or syndication in a media environment is highly desirable 
  • Technical aptitude in understanding delivery formats, feeds, APIs would be a plus. Someone who has worked on more technical products such as feeds, APIs etc on the back-end would do well in this role
  • A good listener and communicator who can work well with business partners, 3rd parties and engineers
  • A creative problem solver, who can solve current problems while thinking of a better longer-term solution 
  • Someone who is good at documenting requirements but also seeing the opportunities to tweak requirements based on the fastest path to engineering a tech solution via a minimum viable product (MVP)

Must have skills and traits:

  • Previous product management experience in a media or publishing environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive contract information and maintain confidentiality
