Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join The Economist Group’s newly formed Programme Management Office. The role will support our strategic programmes and help establish the Centre of Excellence for our Business Analysis capability. The Senior Business Analyst will help establish best-practice BA tools, templates and ways of working as well owning important parts of our project deliveries.

How you will contribute:

• Act as the interface between business and technical teams during development and roll-out of new systems and processes
• Define & run workshops, interviews and other requirement gathering exercises
• Create, refine and prioritise an agile backlog of requirements
• Support customer journey and business process optimisation, including mapping journeys and processes 
• Create business scenarios, requirements and user stories and support setup and delivery of a suite of high-quality BA documents
• Support agile delivery ceremonies
• Undertake scope, feasibility and benchmark assessments for new products and projects
• Complete change impact assessments and advise on the impact on people, processes and IT
• Deliver effective presentations to internal and external teams, with insights driven by data

The desirable skills for this role include: 

• Previous business analysis experience - including requirements management and business process improvement
• Good understanding of the operational and commercial aspects of at least one or more business functions. In particular digital marketing, eCommerce, customer service or finance

• Understanding of the functional and basic technical aspects of CRM (preferably Salesforce)
• Experience of Agile tooling (Jira/Confluence) and agile processes
• Advanced MS Office/Google Suite skills
• A clear and concise communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence
• Able to manage competing priorities in areas of ambiguity
