It is the business–to–business arm of The Economist Group, which publishes The Economist newspaper. 

 

Currently we are seeking a Marketing Associate who will help clients get the most value for their EIU country intelligence subscription, as well as introduce new features as they become available.

 

The Marketing Associate will be responsible for implementing marketing campaigns to promote our products and services across a broad range of platforms including newsletters, up-sell emails, in-person breakfast briefings and webinars.  

Accountabilities

How you will contribute:

  • Execute marketing campaigns to improve usage and engagement of EIU services
  • Assist with communications and event management so that clients get the most value from their subscription
  • Support the development of product messaging and positioning in partnership with our Product team, to successfully communicate the product value proposition to key clients
  • Create email campaigns, landing pages, product decks tutorials and direct mail collateral
  • Help to develop programs to reach users through creative ideas and marketing strategies based on analysis, customer data, testing strategies
  • Co-ordinate the monthly webinar schedule and live calls
  • Ensure campaigns are consistent to brand style and all resources are branded appropriately
  • Provide associated reporting on the above
  • Support the Marketing Manager in new initiatives and launches including event management
  • Liaise with acquisition marketing colleagues to ensure consistency with lead generation and new business development activities, providing support for campaigns where required

Experience, skills and professional attributes

The ideal skills for this role are:

  • Knowledge of upper funnel prospecting channels like on-line display, content recommendation platforms (native), newsletters, pod-casts and paid social media
  • Relevant experience in B2B marketing with a focus on client engagement and retention
  • Strong writing skills, creating engaging content, product messaging and sales materials
  • Experience working within a CRM database (Salesforce.com is preferred)
  • Experience of using email marketing tools and running email marketing campaigns (Marketo is preferred)
  • Able to define and manage effective A/B testing campaigns to test and learn hypotheses for improving communications and events
  • Customer-focused, able to work independently and manage multiple activities simultaneously 
  • A customer champion mind-set with a keen interest in email marketing
  • Excellent organisational abilities and ability to meet multiple deadlines
