CPI is seeking a confident and experienced sales professional who is looking  to join a growing company that is part of a global media organization, The Economist Group.

Accountabilities

How you will contribute:

  • Manage a set of global and regional accounts and add value to our working business relationship
  • Seek out new opportunities and establish a footprint in new markets that add value to our global portfolio
    Working with global banks and financial institutions, payment companies, system suppliers, vendors, technology companies, consultancies and start-ups, you will be an ambassador for the company and help to grow the proposition by engaging with decision makers
  • Qualify selling opportunities and target markets/clients
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline by proactively driving activity via self-generated opportunities as well as by following up on marketing leads
  • Prepare regular sales reports including activity, pipeline, sales invoiced as well as monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts
  • Working closely with the conference producer, you will help to shape the business going forward and also represent the company at our events

Experience, skills and professional attributes

The ideal skills for this role are:

  • Prior experience of selling in B2B environment – event sales preferred but not essential
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and communicate effectively at all levels
  • A strong commercial awareness and business acumen
  • The ability to effectively manage customer relationships/accounts and find new business opportunities from within
  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit in finding and developing new market opportunities
  • Exceptional networking skills – able to penetrate target market to drive the right engagement to win business
