Economist Films is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead client servicing and day to day project management and execution of our content plans, as well as providing support for the strategic direction and organic growth of existing clients.

 

The ideal candidate will be an ambitious individual who is eager to join a vibrant and collaborative team, and who wants to help shape the long term growth programme of an exciting and entrepreneurial venture in The Economist.

Accountabilities

How you will contribute:

 

  • Establish a good working relationship with clients – liaising with them on projects and activity as their key point of day-to-day contact and leading on account management, including meetings and status calls
  • Create Project Management-related strategies and action plans. Full management of all phases of project lifecycle
  • Be responsible for the effective coordination and delivery, ensuring client servicing documents are kept up to date and reporting on communications
  • Work with the different departments involved in our projects, i.e. Editorial, Production, Client Tech, Legal, Finance, Circulation, etc. ensuring they are fully briefed on any projects (e.g. timings, branding, client requirements, etc.)
  • Identify strategies for automating and implementing efficient work management processes
  • Prepare presentations and case studies for clients and new business purposes
  • Present our content production to existing and new clients

  • Experience of working with multiple projects and internal / external stakeholders 
  • Experience directly managing projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with global media and good knowledge of the global media landscape (across broadcast, online, print)
  • Experience in working for global brands
  • Strong organisational, administrative and time management skills
  • An ability to manage a multitude of assignments at once and prioritise accordingly
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively independently and in team settings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes (including Excel & PPT)
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
