As the Head of Paid Social with Economist Impact, you will lead the ongoing development and delivery of our paid social media strategy. You will also be responsible for the social media governance model overseeing the execution of paid social programs, measuring and optimizing social media performance metrics, and developing enhanced reporting.

 

The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of the nuances of the different social media channels, and passion for great storytelling and understand the importance of attention to detail and tone of voice.

Accountabilities

How you will contribute:

 

  • Form strong relationships with internal stakeholders to efficiently manage multiple projects in a timely manner
  • Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy
  • Manage, upskill and nurture our global digital communications team 
  • Define most important social media KPIs
  • Manage and oversee social media content and stay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Measure the success of social media campaigns
  • Work with editors and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
  • Understand all of the types of work TEG is providing a particular client and how it is connected to the client’s goals, and amplification strategy
  • Review creative and strategic deliverables before they are sent to the client to ensure quality is up to the TEG standards

 

Experience, skills and professional attributes

The ideal skills for this role are:

 

  • Proven experience as Social Media Specialist or similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and other social media best practices
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs
  • Familiarity with web design and publishing
  • Excellent multitasking and great leadership skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced business in a highly competitive and evolving industry
