As a QA Engineering Manager, we expect the professional to come in and really make a mark by helping us to improve quality across products that we engineer. The individual will be working in a hands-on manner and will apply their initiative, expertise, and experience to help build a team of QA's who will improve testing and quality engineering across our business.

 

In return, you’ll get the opportunity to work on some exciting projects and will work with cutting edge technology in our Gurugram office. You will be working within a QA Community of Practice, with colleagues in London and Birmingham, as well as with testing partners around the world.

Accountabilities

How will you contribute :

  • People management, by ensuring that the well being of our team is at the heart of what we do
  • People building, by providing direction for and mentoring the progress of your QA team
  • Team building, by creating a team that champions QA and collaborates brilliantly with engineers and product owners 
  • Delivering automation, by increasing and improving our ability to automate testing 
  • Delivering smarter testing, by reducing test cycle and time to deliver through gaining efficiencies in testing
  • Supporting quality analysis through expanding testing to code, integration suites and pipelines
  • Using metrics, and identifying the right KPIs to validate and report on QA health 
  • Ensuring non-functional as well as functional testing is integral to our delivery, including
    Compatibility, accessibility, performance and security
  • Protecting our customers and our business by ensuring defects do not hit our customers 

Experience, skills and professional attributes

The ideal skills and experience for this role include:

 

  • Ability to build and lead a team of QA engineers
  • Abillity to influence, with strong internal and external stakeholder management
  • Hands-on experience of creating and managing automation testing with tools such as Test Cafe or Cypress
  • Experience of working on CI/CD tools like CircleCI
  • Knowledge in API testing using REST and SOAP
  • ISEB Foundation qualification (desirable)
  • ISTQB Advanced Test Management qualification (desirable)
  • You will be a proactive individual who can think laterally to solve problems and recommend improvements
  • You will have good experience the Agile software development cycle but also be able to adapt to hybrid approaches. 
  • You will understanding BDD and TDD testing approach
  • You should have experience of project and test tracking tools, ideally Confluence, JIRA and TestRail
