We are looking for a Technical Lead - Mobile Engineering to join our Economist Group engineering team. Your primary focus will be to design, develop, ship, maintain and oversee the overall architecture of our Economist.com mobile platforms. The Technical Lead - Mobile Engineering is responsible for leading the team that creates and architects The Economist mobile applications, maintaining and improving existing features on existing applications, and working with The Economist Product team to develop innovative solutions that meet growing consumer needs.

The Role
We are recruiting data engineers across all levels to join the global data engineering hub based out of Gurugram. This group will build the data platform and products to support the analytics, insights and data science needs for our core subscription business. Data has always been at the heart of the Economist Group, and ultimately we aim to help the business make data driven judgements based on real time, actionable insights. This position is for a Data Engineer III.

We are looking for a Head of Data Engineering / Senior Data Engineering Manager to join our Economist Group engineering team. Your primary focus will be to design, develop, ship, maintain and oversee the overall architecture of our Economist.com data platforms - with a focus on systems related to our customer facing products. The initial focus will be around choosing and implementing the data infrastructure required to enable predictive analytics and ML algorithms, and in conjunction with the CTO, VP of Engineering and Technology Director for Asia define and grow the organisation required to implement the vision. The team will also support the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) in similar work related to forecasting technology.
You’ll also work with individuals from our corporate data team (responsible for reporting, analytics and insights) to agree on responsibilities and interfaces between the two groups, including your team’s responsibility for the underlying data platforms used by the corporate data team. You will be expected to work collaboratively with data scientists and analysts working in teams outside of engineering, leveraging the best of individuals across the organisation.

EIU is the research and analysis division of The Economist Group, the sister company to The Economist newspaper. Created in 1946, we have over 70 years’ experience in helping businesses, financial firms and governments to navigate the ever-changing global landscape.
The Country Analysis division of the EIU is hiring a Regional Director to lead our Asia team. This very senior role is expected to be the intellectual leader for our Asia analysis (including Australia and New Zealand), leading a team of analysts to produce forecasts, reports and research notes, as well as contributing market-leading analysis of their own. The successful candidate will also be part of the EIU editorial management team, helping to formulate and execute our editorial strategy and initiatives, including by exercising influence and leadership beyond their immediate team.
This is a client-facing role that requires outstanding analysis, forecasting, writing and presenting skills. The successful candidate will be afforded the opportunity to help guide decision-making within our client organisations, while also driving innovation and growth within the EIU. EIU Healthcare aims to further augment its dynamic team by seeking high calibre and talented business consultants keen to grow their career in healthcare business advisory.
The senior analyst, based in Shanghai, will be responsible for supporting our data solution delivery as well as providing the customised research and consulting services to our key account clients in the medical devices and life science sector. Key responsibilities will include:
- Support EIU content and account teams for data solution delivery
- Provide ad-hoc EIU data solution customisation services to key accounts
- Provide ad-hoc advisory and consulting services leveraging EIU datasets

We are seeking a Senior Conference Producer for The Economist's custom events business to lead the development and delivery of bespoke events across the Americas. We are particularly interested in experience developing programmes for tech and innovation events.
Reporting into the head of programming for the Americas, the role will be based in London and responsible for developing original event programmes and ensuring the high-quality delivery of client-focused content.
